KNAPPED FLINT

This flint has been knapped to reveal its blue/black core and create a more even surface. Flint colour varies by region from black to off-white. Used as a traditional feature on walling and often combined with red brick. These nodules are extremely hardwearing and impervious to extreme weather conditions.

Approx. sizes: random sizes from 5cm x 5 cm to 15cm x 15 cm, typically 10cm x 10 cm.
