Building Stone

Selected colour building stone which has been guillotined for a consistent bed depth making it practical for new build houses, building extensions and walls.  Depth typically 125mm.  Available at 100mm depth for cavity work.

Stratton Guillotined Building Stone is a mixed-colour building stone which is widely used for new build houses, extensions and walling.

Sizes:  Random length and height with standard depth of approx. 125mm.   Like most of our stones this is also available at 100mm depth for cavity work.

Croft Building Stone is soft beige in colour.  It has been sawn on bed and lightly dressed for a regular, linear appearance.  A blue/beige blend is also available, please get in touch for details.

Available in sawn course heights of 65mm, 90mm, 110mm, 140mm and 210mm with a depth of 100mm.  Ideal for consistent cavity construction.  Supplied in random lengths.

Byre Guillotined Building Stone is a natural building stone with a mix of colours, ideal for new builds to create an old barn style.

Available in mixed course heights of 40-90mm x random lengths.  Standard depth approx. 125mm.

Forest Marble stone is well known for its qualities as a highly durable stone and suitability for building.

Available in mixed heights to be laid random.  Standard depth approx. 150mm.  Dressing on site may be required depending on joint width.

Leigh Guillotined Building Stone is a beige narrow bed building stone.  Available at heights between 30-90mm with random lengths and typically 125mm depth.  This stone can be laid in the drystone method as shown.  Dressing on site may be required depending on joint width.

Purbeck Traditional Quoins are hand-dressed natural quoin stones which come in varying natural bed heights, typically 100-200mm.

Purbeck Sawn on Bed Quoins are sawn top and bottom with a hand-dressed facing.  Quoin stones are traditionally used on the corners and openings of buildings and walls; they provide decorative detail, structural strength, and weather protection. Natural stone quoins can be used to complement brick, rendered and stone structures.

Sizes are Random height x Random length with a standard depth approx. 125mm deep.  Height is typically 100-250mm.  Set size also available.
